NAPA News - Week 6, Term 1, 2024

Dear NAPA Families,

We hope all of our cherubs have settled in well to their classes and our newbies are now feeling familiar with our procedures.  Only a few news items this week and a few reminders.

BASIC RANGE UNIFORMS ARRIVED

After my email, it was great to see how quickly the items were picked up. It’s lovely to see so many of our students proudly wearing their new T-shirts. These arrive a lot quicker than the Activated Industries as our Basic Range is done locally. We did order some extras but not all sizes, so if anyone was too late to place their order, you can check out the ones we have in stock at reception.

CARE OF GAMES

Unfortunately, the message regarding the use of our games did not circulate after I requested a couple of weeks ago. More rackets have been broken and our balls have been purposely hidden and thrown onto our roofs again, despite my plea to ensure all children respect our games that we supply to entertain them between classes. I did say I was not going to buy any more as this keeps happening. However, I did have some lovely cherubs plead with me this week to purchase some more and they would look out for anyone not using them correctly. So, I gave in and bought some more balls.  Please ask your child to either respect the inside and outside games and always put them away after use or if you know they don’t use them, please ask them to keep an eye open on children who are misusing them and they can remind them to be respectful or let us know at reception. Thank you.

PRIVATE LESSONS

I have had a few enquiries regarding private lessons. Just a reminder again that to locate contact details of our teachers who conduct private lessons, please go to our website to Youth Program, then click on Privates to see the teachers’ contact details. We have a fabulous array of private teachers.  Our singing teachers have a few spaces left as well as our acting teacher – Cilla, and our FTV teacher - Lily. Please contact them directly if you are looking for privates for your child.

P&F AGM

Just a reminder that our AGM for our P&F will take place on Monday 25th March at 5pm.  Hope to see a few of you there to support the P&F.  Thank you to those of you who have nominated themselves or someone else for an executive position. We will need to close off the nominations on 18th March to finalise the nominations so we can work out our ballot.

BROADWAY TWEENS AUDITION PROGRESS

This week, Broadway Tweens had their first round of singing auditions for Wizard of Oz. Miss Laura said that there was so much talent in the room! We were so proud of not only how the students courageously graced the stage with over 70 of their peers watching them but also how supportive each student was of their fellow cast members. There were always cheers and applause before and after each performance.  Next week we will continue with acting and dancing auditions. Chookas to all!

Have a wonderful week everyone

Cheers

Lynn & the NAPA Team
